DNB
Academics at AHRC:-
AHRC is a 155 bedded multispecialty hospital. It caters to over 25000 patients per year and admits over 5000.
Ahrc has been involved in academics since its inception in 2002. Dept of Orthopedics was recognized for DNB from 2006 to 2019 with 27 successful candidates. Two candidates in DNB Family Medicine also passed.
Now again after corona epidemic, Dept of Medicine had been accredited for NBEMS DNB from 2023. Inspection for NBEMS DCH and NBEMS DGO has been done, and accreditation is awaited. Application for DNB in Orthopedics has been submitted and diploma in Anesthesia and Family Medicine is being planned.
Hospital also run Samarpan College of Nursing since 2015 for BSc and MSc courses.
Regular CMEs, workshops, demos, classes are held for on the job training of doctors, nurses and allied staff also. All are encouraged to participate in conferences, workshops, CMEs, and are sent as observer to higher centres for experience.
Academics Dept and coordination is looked after by a committee consisting Prof DK Taneja (former Dean MGM medical college Indore, HOD Orthopedics, NBE teacher, guide, inspector) Medical Director, Prof Prakash Bangani (Sr Ortho Surgeon) Managing Director, Dr Shikhar Jain Director Academics, departmental faculties, meeting coordinators, and other senior doctors and managers. Ethics committee, Research committee, Student Welfare committee exist to help and guide students.
DNB
Dept of Medicine-
Recognized for NBEMS DNB. Three year training. One seat.
Facilities- 40 bedded unit including ICU (with Ventilators, Defibrillator, Monitors and other necessary equipment’s), Endoscopies, Dialysis, Resp function testing etc. Admits about 1200 patients per year. Regular OPD with subspecialties facilities in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Dermatology, Physiotherapy, Artificial Limb center etc.
Faculty- Dr Piyush Joshi- 13 years post DNB (Med) experience, DNB teacher for 7 years
Dr Rupesh Modi- 20 years post DNB experience, also done DTCD (1993).
Many post MD /DNB, post diploma visiting consultants also participate in clinical and formal teaching. Dr. Achal Sepaha MD (part time Nephrologist) has been DNB teacher for 30 years. Dr A K Pancholia MD (part time) has 40 years’ experience and is a renowned national and international faculty in cardiology with several publications including chapters in books. Dr Mayank Jain DNB (Gastro, 2010), is Adjunct Faculty (full time), with nine years of DNB teaching experience.

Dept of Pediatrics-
Inspection done, accreditation awaited for NBEMS DCH. Two years training. One seat.
Facilities- 25 bedded unit including PICU and NICU beds. Equipped with ventilators, C Pap, Bipap, Monitors, Resuscitation trolleys and other necessary equipment’s. Admits about 700 patients yearly, 300 deliveries, regular OPD with special clinics like vaccination, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic and disabilities etc.
Faculty- Dr Shikhar Jain-
45 years post MD, NBE experience as teacher, guide, inspector, and examiner. Recognized as adjunct professor in pediatrics by NBE in 2018.
Dr Puneet Agrawal- 3 years post MD. Trained in neonatal and critical care at Wadia children hospital, Mumbai.
Many post MD /DNB, post DCH visiting consultants also participate in clinical and formal teaching.

Inspection done for NBEMS DGO, accreditation awaited. Two years training. – One seat.
Facilities- 20 bedded unit with OT, labor room, procedure room. Admits about 700 cases, with adequate gynecology workload, normal, assisted and Caesar deliveries.

Worked at MY Hospital and Medical College Indore during UG and PG, at PGIMER, Chandigarh as SR for two years 1977-79, at Choithram Hospital & Research Center Indore as Consultant from 1979 to 2021, at Arihant hospital & Research Center Indore as Senior Consultant from 2021 to date.
Worked as Director Academics for several years, and as Director Medical Services at CHRC.
President of National Neonatology Forum in 2013 and 2014, represented several professional bodies at state and national level.
Academic Achievements- Was awarded title of Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics by NBEMS in 2018 For three years,
Been DNB teacher, guide, inspector and examiner in Pediatrics
Been teacher and guide for PED Critical Care, and Neonatology fellowships
