  • Awarded the TKS Gold Medal by World Orthopaedic Concern for voluntary services in low and middle-income countries
  • Elected as Fellow by the National Academy of Medical Sciences in 2001
  • Distinguished Emeritus Medical Teacher Award from the National Board of Examination

  • Initiated the First School of Physiotherapy in the state
  • Established the First Allied Health Sciences Institute
  • Recognized for leadership in Healthcare service and Rehabilitation of Physically handicapped
  • Established Life Saving Ambulance Services and First Trauma Centre in the state for Road Traffic Accident victims

  • Edited 15 books on Orthopaedics
  • Author of a book for OT Technicians translated into many regional languages
